As I was trying so hard to have a peaceful conversation with MeMe (JJ's mom)on the phone, Jaydon comes running into to the house yelling "Mom, come look what we found, it is so cool" So I walk to the front door, only to find this electric scooter sitting in our carport. "Isn't that cool, mom? I am going to fix it and ride it" he says. "And look, we even have the keys. We found it by the dumpster." MeMe, who is listening to the whole thing, is laughing, she says to me "just make sure to hide the hairspray". Jaydon has drug about every tool he could out to take the scooter apart and "fix" it. It has kept him busy for hours. If only Daddy were here to help, I bet they could get it running.

MEME SAYS "JUST HIDE YOUR CAN OF HAIRSPRAY"

Fence Building By The Mens Group
Praise GOd, we now have a fence, it is not completed yet, as it still needs top rails, but as it is is helps to keep my kids in and occassionally, other kids out. The men from JJ's Bible Study Group put a lot of time and effort into coming and putting up this fence for us, and for that I am very grateful.

Walk for Life
Just a quick entry to let you know that we will be doing the Colorado Springs Walk For Life on June 7th. It is approximately a 2 mile walk that all the kids and I will be doing. (okay Abby wont be walking, she will be in the stroller) Please consider sponsoring us, the money goes to help encourage and assist women in giving birth to their babies instead of aborting them. It is a great cause. Visit our fundraising page at www.firstgiving.com/tammielittle to sponsor our walk. Thanks for considering it. And please forward the address to anyone who you feel might want to contribute.

"THAT" HOMESCHOOL MOM
This week, I am pleased to say, that I feel like I am "THAT" homeschool mom. You know, the one who makes it up by 5AM every morning to do her devotions, shower and get ready, make the kids and husband a 5 course breakfast, and start school at 8 o'clock sharp. "THAT" homeschool mom who uses every moment of the day to teach her adoring children something, who never shouts, and always knows what to say to help her little ones through every trial of the day. "THAT" homeschool mom is the one who we all see and strive to be like, but secretly believe we will never attain. Okay, so truthfully I am not anywhere near being "THAT" homeschool mom, but I must say we had a pretty great week.
This week my friend Kelly and I had set aside to do a dissection lab with the kids. We had a great time, and the kids really learned a lot about anatomy and physiology. Between the 2 of us we have 10 kids ranging in age from 5 months to 13 years old. We started out on Monday by dissecting a sheep's brain and eye. Then on Tuesday we moved on to dissect the heart and kidney. Wednesday, Praise God, it rained and we took the day off. Thursday we started on fetal pigs doing the GI System and the Abdominal Cavity, and we finished up today by doing the Thoracic Cavity, the brain and spinal cord, and muscles and joints. And at the end we celebrated the kids success with an ice cream party. What a wonderful week of learning.
